Record-breaking Tannishtha Nair makes clean sweep again

OTTERS CLUB’S Tannishtha  Nair  recorded seasons’s second clean sweep when she bagged five golds – all in the women’s category- in the   GMAAA-MIG annual open swimming championships, held at their  Bandra’s MIG Swimming Pool here yesterday. Earlier in the season she had won five golds in the MCF Swimming Gala – albeit in the junior events.

The collegian from Khar’s Jasudben added two golds  in the 50m backstroke as well as in the 50m butterfly events – both by shattering the existing timings set by Khar Gymkhana’s Avantika Chavan and Zara Baksi –  to add to yesterday’s three  golds she won, al beit without bettering the exising timings, on the first day.
