A record 530 participants , including national and state level swimmers , from 37 affiliated Clubs from city and suburbs will be in action in the MIG Cricket Club’s annual 9th Open Swimming Gala to be held on March 30 and 31. The two-day competition being organized under the auspices of the GMAAA (Greater Mumbai Amateur Aquatic Association), has attracted a huge response in almost all the categories viz. men and women (both in under-30 and over 30 categories) as well as in boys and girls in different age groups.
Some of the salient features of the Meet are: There are a total of 110 events for age categories ranging from under 6 years to over 60 years. The top Six in each of the individual events will be awarded Certificates of Merit, while the top Three in each event will also be awarded medals. While glittering trophies will be awarded to the Individual Championship winners and runners up in each of the age groups.
