Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF) struck at the death to snatch a close 3-2 win against PIFA Colaba FC in an exciting Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage football ground.
In a match of fluctuating fortunes, RCF took the lead through Troy Nunes in the 39th minute before Saad Ansari scored the equaliser for the Colaba outfit in the 72nd minute. But eight minutes later RCF regained the lead when Nunes struck his second goal of the match and once again the Colaba side restored parity through Johnson D’Silva’s goal in the 88th minute. However, as the match seemed to be heading for a draw, RCF striker Craig M. found the target in the first minute of additional period to clinch a win for his team.
The next Elite Division match will be played between Mumbai Customs and Western Railway on Sunday, October 25 at 3.00 pm.
