Reserve Bank of India ( RBI) produced a strong second half performance and went on to blank Century Rayon 2-0 in a First Division semi-final match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Thursday.
After both teams failed to score in the first period, Reserve Bank returned with renewed vigour and their ace sharpshooter Abhishek Ambekar, struck in the very third minute of the second half before Hridey Sethi added the second in the 84th minute to seal their win and confirm their passage into the final.
Reserve Bank will clash with HDFC in the summit round on Saturday, April 19 at the Cooperage ground.
The concluding Elite Division League match to be played between Air India and Mumbai FC is scheduled to be played at the Cooperage ground on Friday, March 18 at 5.30 pm. The Super Division final between Maharashtra State Police and Air India Under-19 will be played earlier at 3.30 pm.
