Medium pacers Raunak Shinde (5/28) and Jiendra Paliwal (3/9) rattled the MCC (Blue) batsmen with pace and bounce to steer their side’s five-wicket win in the second leg of the five-team double-leg Twister-MCC-Pro40 League-season-3 at the Oval Maidan here today.
Opting to bat first, MCC (Blue) batsmen, but for gritty 36 by Mukesh Gupta, failed to cope with the fiery attack and were bowled out for 107. Chasing a such small score, MCC (Red), however, made a heavy weather before achieving their target for the loss of five wickets.
In another tie, MCC (Green) scored an emphatic 10-wicket win over bottom of the table Twisters Sports Club to come back into reckoning after receiving setback in the first leg. After dismissing Twisters SC for 127 , they were home as opener Anurag Jadav (n.o. 63) alongwith Ramesh Thakur saw them through without any hiccups.
