Koli Samaj SC played with plenty of grit and determination and ground out a hard-fought 1-0 win against Madanpura FA in a Third Division matches of the MDFA League 2018-19 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Friday.
The match witnessed a keen tussle for supremacy before striker Rushab Rane managed to find the back of the net late in the game to help Koli Samaj snatch a win and pocket all the three points.
Earlier, Yawn FC scored twice in the first half and went on to record a 2-0 win against Pioneer Residency SC in another match of the same division. Mario Fernandes scored first in the 16th minute and three minutes later Martin Rebello hit the target for the second goal, which secured Yawn FC’s victory.
