Manu Rana’s double strikes were the feature of Veniza Virar FC’s comfortable 3-1 win against Miners FC in a First Division play-off match of the MDFA Leagues 2017-18 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Nidhin Joseph netted the third goal for the Virar side, while Miners pulled one back through Darryl Chirayath’s goal.
Earlier, Charkop FC abd KNFC Naseeb Reloaed played out an exciting 4-4 draw in a Second Division play-off encounter. For Charkop the goals were scored by Hitesh Pardesh who got a brace and Keenan Burroughs and Prathmesh Koli with one each. KNFC scored through Shoaibh Shah twin strikes and one each from Sharique Khan and Aniket Jadhav).
