Veniza Virar FC struck twice in the second half to blank Sahayadri Krida Mandal 2-0 in a First Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2016-2017, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday. The highlight of the Virar outfit’s fluent win was Manmohan Rana’s double strikes which secured their victory and the full three points.
In another match, Carmelites FC scored two first half goals to prevail over Soccer A-Z 2-0. Strikers Smit Devkar scored the first goal in the 8th minute before Ryan D’Souza doubled the lead in the 21st minute.
