The sudden showers in the morning forced the Mumbai Cricket Association to call off all the 26 third round of group matches of the 1st MCA Women’s Cricket League, which was scheduled to be played on Tuesday.
MCA Secretary, Ajinkya Naik in a statement to all participating teams mentioned that due to the rains the matches are cancelled. “Due to the unseasonal rain, it has been decided to postpone all the last league matches of all teams, which were scheduled to be played today (Tuesday).”
“However, we will ensure the third and final rounds of the league matches of all teams will be played before 29th March. This would give an equal opportunity to every team to qualify for the knockouts. The last league match will be played as per availability of grounds and the schedule will be intimated to all teams shortly,” Naik further mentioned.
