Ashwath Puthran was on song and scored a hat-trick to propel Worli Sports Club to a comfortable 4-1 win against Companeroes SC ‘B’ in a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. After Prathamesh Sawant had opened the scoring for the Worli side, Puthran got into the scoring act with three strikes in succession to complete his feat and the winning tally. Suresh Sutar scored the consolation goal for Companeroes.
Later in a First Division encounter, Bombay FC hung on to their first lead to overcome Chedda Nagar Fanatics by a close 1-0 margin. Striker Aakash Walmiki netted lone winner to clinch a win and the three points for Bombay FC.
