Protrack Football Club continued with their superb run of form and handed Millat FC a tight 1-0 defeat in a well-contested final of the Mumbai Football Association organized Independence Cup football tournament 2023 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Tuesday.

The young Protrack outfit rose to the challenge and managed to score a crucial goal early in the second half through their hard-working striker Adithyan Prithviraj to clinch a narrow win and emerge champions on their debut.
Earlier, Protrack defeated Oranje FC 1-0 with Jayraj Ghelani scoring the all-important winning goal in the first half in the first semi-final. Later, Millat FC got the better of a youthful RFYC (Reliance Foundation Young Champs) 8-7 via the sudden death penalty shootout after the match ended in a goalless stalemate.
Results – Final: Protrack FC 1 (Adithyan Prithviraj) beat Millat FC 0.
Semi-finals: Protrack FC 1 (Jayraj Ghelani) beat Oranje FC 0.
Millat FC beat Reliance Foundation Young Champs 8-7 via the sudden death tie-breaker.
