Prithi Bhatt, from Bombay Cambridge International and Tanishka Krishnan, from JBCN International took the honours by claiming two golds each in their respective boys and girls under-12 sections on the opening day of the inaugural SASA (Schools Athletics and Sports Association) Track and Field Championships at Somaiya schools ground at |Ghatkopar (East) today. Both emerged best in their 100m and Lon jump events.
Sharing the day’s honours with them was JBCN International’s Vittada Badgeri, who excelled in the girls under-16 with gold each in the 100m sprint and 400m run. While 100m sprints gold in the boys and girls in the under-14 gold went to Shaurya |Chand (JBCN Int) and Reeth Anand (Dr.Radhakrishnan International).

GIRLS U-14: 100m: Reeth Anand (Dr Radhakrishnan Int) – 14.12 secs. 400m: Saashvi Jogani (JBCN Int.) – 72.90 secs. Long Jump: Aaira Agarwal (JBCN Int) – 4.05 mts. Discus Throw: Niyati Bhalekar ( Bombay Cambridge Int) – 12.81 mts.
