Poinsur Gymkhana (Kandivali), will be organizing their “Annual Sports” under “Uttar (North) Mumbai Krida Mahotsav – 2016 with inter-school cricket tournament from November 26. The opening day will also witness a new event – swimming – added this year, which will also be held at adjacent Kamla Vihar Club.
This will be followed by other events – Football and basketball (Nov 28, 29 and 30); Athletics, boxing and table tennis (Dec 1,2,3 and 4). Also Minithon Road Races, Gymnastic, Mallakhamb, Karate, Carrom, Chess, Archery events too will be held alongwith the main events.
Poinsur Gymkhana has become a regular sports hub, catering to sports enthusiastics – both young and old – in various outdoor and indoor activities which also include Jogging Track and Gymnasium. The gymkhana under the leadership of Member of Parliament Gopal Shetty has been conducting various inter-School tournaments for the last 15 years. This year they expect over 3000 participants for the various events in their annual nine-day Mahotsav, which starts from November 26, and will get over on December 4.
