P.J.Hindu Gymkhana(PJHG) ‘E’ team Spearheaded by their star player Premjit Rananavare, managed to score a well fought 3-1 victory over Central YMCA ‘B’ team , in their last match of the MCDTTA IIIrd division Inter Club Table Tennis league; played today evening.

Premjit had a tough time in the first match itself, against Bobby Duggal, who blocked all his topspin attack well, with his solid defense . Premjit had almost lost the match, trailing 6-10 in the decider. But, managed to save six match points, before winning the match at 13-11. Rajesh Pandit of PJHG then gave his team 2-0 lead, with convincing 3-1 victory over hard hitter Shane Sequeira.
As veteran Ulhas Shirke lost the third match for PJHG to YMCA’s Shafi Khan 1-3 in the third match; but, Premjit once again proved his fighting abilities while scoring a comfortable victory over Shane Sequeira to record 3-1 victory for PJHG.
In the second division, both P.J.Hindu Gymkhana teams are occupying 1st and 2nd place respectively, with Prakash kelkar led ‘C’ team hot favourites to win the trophy.
