PJ Hindu Gymkhana (PJHG) ‘F’ team comprising of Rajesh Pandit, Ulhas Shirke, JD Maheshwari, Himanshu Patva & Ketan Pandya, moved into the finals of MCDTTA 3rd Division Inter Club Table tennis League. In the finals, they take on their home team PJHG ‘E’, comprising of Premjeet Nananavare, Aditya Shinde, Samheehan Kulkarni & Rishi kapadia, who emerged champions from Section B of 3rd Division.
PJ Hindu Gymkhana ‘F’ team comprising of (LtoR). JD Maheshwari, Ulhas Shirke, Himanshu Patwa & Rajesh Pandit reached the finals of MCDTTA Inter Club 3rd Division TT league, with unbeaten record.
But, it wasn’t easy for PJHG ‘F’ team, against MLWB-KKB ‘C’ team, as they had to toil hard for their 3-2 victory over their rivals, to remain unbeaten. At one stage the Gymkhana team was down 0-2 in the set score, with both their players Rajesh Pandit and Ulhas Shirke, losing their respective matches narrowly to Parag Pradhan & Pratap Pandit respectively. But, once their 3rd player JD Maheshwari won the crucial third match in five well contested games, both Rajesh & Ulhas bounced back with their form, winning their reverse matches against Pratap and Parag respectively, in 5 well contested games. It was anybody’s match till change of sides in the decider played between Ulhas and Parag; but in the final stages of the game, Ulhas attacked well , to win the game and match for his team.
D’Jang, Summesh & Santosh from MLWB-KKB team are topping from their section in 2nd Division of MCDTTA Inter Club TT lague
In the second division, the picture was not very clear, as to which two teams will play the finals; but chances are more for MLWB-KKB ‘B’ team represented by D’Jang, Summesh M & Santosh N. They are likely to take on CCI young team represented by Mustafa Managerr , Bhavitavya Shah & Yash Doshi. Reports of 4th Division matches had not reached till late night. The finals of all divisions will be played between 16th and 19th at PJ Hindu Gymkhana, Marine Drive, Mumbai.
