The most crucial third wicket partnership of 74 runs in 54 balls by opener Hersh Tank (46 runs off 41 balls 5×4 1×6) and Prasad Pawar (n.o. 39* runs off 31 balls 4×4 1×6) helped Payyade CC to win the final match against Mumbai Police Gymkhana by 6 wickets in the SPG-LIC T-20 cricket tournament. The tournament was held in loving memory of SPG’s two stalwart cricketers Late Vijay Manjarekar & Late Ramakant Desai and was organised by Shivaji Park Gymkhana & sponsored by Life Insurance Corporation Of India. The Final winners –Payyade CC were awarded Rs. 1 lakh prize money along with a Trophy by Mr. Dilip Vengasarakar- former Captain of Indian Cricket Team.
