Payal Sawant of Duruelo Convent, Bandra will lead the Mumbai team that will participate in the 7th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Hockey Championship, to be played at Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu from January 4-13, 2017.
The coach and manager with Mumbai Sub.Jr. Girls team are seen along with MHAL President, Mangha Singh Bakshi and Executive Managing Committee member Vernon Lobo before their departure for Chennai.
Sharmin Bassha of MMK College is coaching the 18-member Mumbai team and has put the girls’ through their paces during a 21-day training camp at the MHAL Stadium, Churchgate. Madhavi Patil also from MMK College is the manager of the team, which left for Chennai on Monday evening.
