Parsee Gymkhana still unbeaten in 1st Division Mumbai City Club TT league


Parsee Gymkhana team with their star players Sanish Ambekar and Zubin Taraporewala have proved their supremacy in MCDTTA 1st Division Inter Club League, with five wins in a row. Yesterday evening they defeated well balanced side of Student YMCA  and little before that they defeated the young side of MLWB ‘B’ 3-1 , with the best match witnessed between Zubin Taraporewala and Parthav kelkar which was stretched to five set thriller. Zubin won this match 3-2 to give 1-0 lead to his team . Though Parsee Gymkhana’s Mayuresh lost to Mustafa Managerr, sanish Ambekar won both his singles against Parthav kelkar and Tanmay rane with ease. Parsee Gymkhana have just one match left to play against PJ Hindu Gymkhana ‘B’.

Earlier PJ.Hindu Gymkhana teams had a bad day, losing their two important matches, in spite of putting up good fight. Their ‘A’ team lost to MLWB ‘B’ 2-3 with saurabh Mohite winning against Tanmay Rane and losing narrowly against Parthav Kelkar in five well contested games. Om Lotlikar won one more match for his team winning against Mustafa Managerr.

The ‘B’ team of PJ Hindu Gymkhana lost to Student YMCA 1-3, with veteran Jagannath Mohite scoring a 3-2 victory over MSL player Sarosh Shroff. For the winners Suraj Chandrasekhar played splendidly, winning both his singles. His match against Jagannath Miohite was a worth watch. Ravi Chopra another MSL player of Student YMCA received some resistance from PJ Hindu Gymkhana’s another veteran player Ulhas Shirke, though he won this match 3-1. Suraj won his other match against Premjeet Rananavare.

 

In the Inter Office IVth division Zone 1 finals, Shivaji Park Gymkhana beat Procter YMCA 3-0, while in the finals of Division IV Zone 2 MBPT beat Indian Oil with K.H.Vasta winning both his singles and the third singles won by S.Ramesh.  In the final 3rd round of IIIrd division MLWB (NMJ) ensured their title, winning 3-1 against Central YMCA team.
