Parikh makes bright beginning


Top class India player Siddharth Parikh (handicap -650) made a very bright beginning and showing his excellent quality play by making good breaks of 133, 98, 95, 70 and 51 to score a win against Sanjiv Bijlani (handicap -90) by a 250-214 points margin in the Group ‘A’ round-robin league (race to 250 points) match of the SPG-Park Club Billiards Tournament – 2015, which is being jointly organised by the Shivaji Park Gymkhana and Park Club.

Last year’s winner Rovin D’Souza (-110) also scored a win defeating Avenish Shah (-90) by 250(65)-177 points in the second Group ‘A’ round-robin league.
In the Group ‘C’ league match, Vishal Gehani (-120) made two breaks of 58 and 51 in winning against Mahaesh Jagdale (-190) by 250-130 points. Jagdale had made one break of 72 points.

In the Group ‘E’ league match, Ishpreet Chadha (-350) was not able to reach top form and lost the match to Chandu Kansodaria (-120), who won by 250-140 points.
