Param Bhiwandkar son of former State-National level TT player and renowned Coach Gandeep Bhiwandkar, displayed his skills while entering the quarter finals of Boys Under-15 event of MCF-TSTTA 4 Star Mumbai District Ranking Table Tennis tournament played at MCF Club, Borivali on Sunday morning.
Param had a tough time in Pre-Pre Quarter finals, when he was down by three to four points in the decider. But, he rallied splendidly to overcome his equally strong opponent Hridhan Vora , by winning the decider and match 3-2. Pram however had little resistence from Shloak Jhaveri in the pre quarter finals, which he won 3-0.
In another well contested match Moksh Shahri with his controlled game overpowered his defensive opponent Akash Sahoo very tactfully, especially in the decider.
In the Girls Under 15 first quarter finals, top seeded and favourite Divyanshi Bhowmick scored a 3-0 win over Amishi Chaddha, facing some resistence in the first game. However, Arpita Borhade faced a lot of resistence from Ayaana Beddingwala before overcoming 3-2 . In the other two quarter finals Tanvi Chukkal beat Prisha Daga 3-0, while Vaishnavi Jaiswal beat Niva Chaugule 3-1 in a match which witnessed good of long rallies.
