MCC (Red)’s medium pacer Jitendra Paliwal stole the limelight on a day dominated by bowlers, by capturing nine for 15 as Jwala Sports Foundation were bundled out for 40 in their return tie of the B4S (Brain-4-Sports)- MCC Pro-40 Five-team double leg League, played at Oval Maidan here today. Chasing the target, MCC (Red), however, made quite a heavy weather before winning the tie by six wickets.
In the second tie in the afternoon, MCC (Blue) handed a 10-wicket defeat to table-topper debutant Bhosale Cricket Academy. Put in to bat, BCA were dismissed for 71 with Mukesh Gupta (5/12), Zaid Khan (3/22) and Manish Gupta (2/10) sharing the spoils. In reply, the MCC (Blue) openers Mukesh Gupta (35) and Owais Sayed (27) made light of the target and were home being without separated.
