Opener Arish shines in Mumbai CC’s 6-wkt win


Opening batsman Arish Khan smashed an 47-balls unbeaten 44 runs (5 boundaries) to help Mumbai Cricket Club ‘A’ storm to an six-wicket victory against B4 Sports Club in a boys’ under-12 league match of the MCC Talent Search Cricket Tournament 2023-2024, organized by JSF (Jwala Sports Foundation) and played at the Air India ground, Kalina.


Opening batsman Arish Khan who scored an unbeaten 44 runs is seen receiving his ‘Man of the Match’ award.

B4 Sports Club opting to bat first were unable to put up a big total as they were restricted to 135 for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Left-handed batsmen Aditya Singh 30 runs and Soham Palai 23 were the only ones to get some decent knocks in the middle.

Chasing a modest target, Mumbai Cricket Club comfortably surpassed the opposition total reaching 139 for the loss of just four wickets in 19.2 overs. Opener led Mumbai CC’s charge and remained unbeaten as they crossed the finish line. He was ably supported by Left-hander Aakash Tripathi who scored 36 runs. B4 Sports Club’s Ashish Khedekar tried his best and claimed 3 wicket for 15 runs.

Brief scores: B4 Sports Club 135 for 7, 20 overs (Aditya Singh 30, Soham Palai  23) lost to Mumbai Cricket Club ‘A’ 139 for 4 wickets, 19.2 overs (Arish Khan 44*, Aakash Tripathi 36; Ashish Khedekar 3/15). Result: Mumbai CC ‘A’ won by 6 wickets.
