Zwingo, the ultimate cricket training tool to help cricketers reach their maximum potential
Cricket batsmen, who have been susceptible to playing against spinners and on turning pitches, now have an opportunity to master the art of playing the turning balls. In a bid to help batsmen overcome those challenges, South Africa’s versatile and flamboyant batsman Quinton De Kock has specially created and designed the ‘Spintechs Spin Mat’ that would help the batters to improve their batting skills on turning pitches and face-off against top-class spinners, like the former greats Anil Kumble and Muttiah Muralitharan.
This product is being marketed in India by Omtex, a leading sports apparel manufacturer and a dealer in the distribution of International cricket training equipment. This was announced by Vijay Patel, Managing Director, Omtex Healthware Pvt. Ltd during a press interaction held at MIG Club, Bandra.
“I faced challenges of playing and reading spin on many different pitches around the world and on the last tour to India I struggled to get runs. That prompted me to try something different and that’s why I developed ‘Spintechs’ a training product, which is unique and innovative specially designed mat that automatically spins the ball for you, enhancing the bounce and the speed of the ball. This allows both, a batsman or wicketkeeper, to experience all the angles that you would face in a competitive match and train you to adapt to those tricky situations easier,” said Quinton during a demonstration session of Spintech.
“I just want to help all the cricketers become better and I hope my product would help them. Training with the Spintech would help wicketkeepers improve their reflexes and sharpness when keeping to spinners and would provide batsmen the ability to play more freely against the spinners,” he said after the session.
Zwingo, a product of Beyond Balance Solutions, which is an ultimate cricket training tool, is also being marketed by Omtex. This tool helps to maintain your balance and alignment in check and enables cricketers and coaches reach their maximum potential. It also improves on-field cricket performance and good for hand-eye and foot coordination.
Anthony Botha, an ECB Level-IV Master Coach and currently Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club’s Assistant Coach, acknowledges that optimum use of Spintech and Zwingo would take your game to an altogether different level and is a must for every cricketer. “I actively use these products most of the time and it will certainly help players to improve their skills. English cricketer Joe Root has been utilising these products and it’s exciting to see how players are using both the products and have shown signs of improvement,” Botha mentioned.
Vijay Patel, Managing Director, Ometex said, “Both the products are likely to be available in the Indian markets within two months (by end July) as all the necessary paper work and clearances have to be completed.”
“However, I can assure every young cricketer that both, Spintech and Zwingo will be a rage in the country and our efficient distribution system will ensure that both the products are delivered in the market on time,” he further stated.
