New India Assurance (NIA) SC snatched a 22-run victory against Bank of Maharashtra in a quarter-final match of the 14th Insurance Shield T20 Inter-Office Cricket Tournament 2024, organised by Oriental Insurance Company under the aegis of MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) and played at Cross Maidan on Saturday evening.
Sent in to bat, New India Assurance reached a total of 186 for the loss of five wickets from their 20 overs. Opening batsmen Harsh Ubale 60 (49-balls), and Anish Shetty 55 (26-balls) provided their team with a solid start. Later, Sanskar Dahelkr contributed 29 runs to prop the innings. Left-arm spinners Nayan Jadhav 2 for 41 and Himanshu Sonthalia 2 for 49 managed to take the wickets. In reply Bank of Maharashtra batsmen batted cautiously and were restricted to 164 for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Their leading scorer was Azim Khan 59 (46-balls) runs and Omkar Patankar 29 runs.
In another match, United Patni registered an emphatic 10-wicket victory against Reserve Bank of India in another last eight match.

Reserve Bank of India 53 all out, 13.4 overs (Ashwin Shelke 4/6, Sandesh Koli 3/11, Omar Patni 2/12) lost United Patni SC 54 for no loss 5.5 overs (Omar Patni 36*, Shreyash Singh 16*). Result: United Patni won by 10 wickets.
