Neel Roy is fast growing both in height and stature, as the Khar Gymkhana lad added the men’s 100m and 400m free style and 200m individual medley to the two he had won yesterday – setting new marks in all five – in the Obino-GMAAA Annual Senior and Lower Age Group Aquatic Meet- cum-Selection Trial meet, held at Tata Power Swimming Pool at Chembur here today. What was most striking aspect of Neel’s gold hunting spree was the fact that he just swept the field in all five events, leaving his rivals way behind.

Sharing the day’s honour with Neel, was Trisha Karkhanis, of Mulund Swimming Pool who won three golds while setting new marks in 1oom back stroke and 100m butterfly stroke, while her third gold came in 200m butterfly event on the opening day. Aaryan Bhosale, of Forest Club, too had quite a fruitful day., winning two golds (both record-breaking), two silver medals apart from a bronze.
