SGFI held National School games at Delhi after a long gap of 4 years, last one at this scale was conducted in 2019. The games saw huge and enthusiastic participation from many states and boards. Games were held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Swimming Pool Complex, Delhi.
Mumbai’s Saanvi Deshwal, represented CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) and her School, Bombay Scottish Mahim at the 67th National Games 2023-2024, held at Delhi, conducted by Directorate of Education and Sports, Government of N.C.T. of Delhi.
Saanvi created National Meet Record at the National School Games in 200m Individual Medley with timing of 2:29.81 secs winning Gold medal. Shreenithi Natesan of CBSC won silver and Naisha from CISCE won bronze in the event. Saanvi went on to create another National Meet Record on the last day of the meet securing her 3rd Individual Gold in 50m Breast stroke, stopping the clock in record time of 35.50 secs. Saanvi also won Gold medal in 100m breast stroke event, and team Gold in 4×100 M medley relay.
This was a fantastic effort by the young swimmer Saanvi, who trains at Otters-Dolphin Academy in Mumbai.
