Mumbai Police Gymkhana Cricket Academy lads emerged champions defeating Titan Cricket Club by 61 runs in the final of the Vasantdada Patil Academy Boys Under-12 Cricket Tournament 2019 and played at the Vasantdada Patil College ground, Chembur.

Deciding to bat first, Mumbai Police Academy amassed a total of 160 for the loss of two wickets from their quota of 20 overs. The Police Academy innings was propped by Yasin Saudagar who cracked an unbeaten 66 runs and Tushar Singh who scored 60 runs.

 

In reply, Titan Cricket Club was restricted to 99 for six wickets from overs. Soham Dalvi was the only batsman who managed tp put up a fight and made 42 runs. Hrimaan Karvat picked up three wickets for just seven runs.

 

Later, Hrishikesh Chavan of Titan CC was named ‘Player of the tournament. Police Academy batsman Yasin Saudagar was declared as the ‘Player of the final’ and the ‘Best batsman of the tournament. Abhinav Jain of Police Academy won the ‘Best bowler of the tournament’ award.

 

Brief scores: Mumbai Police Gymkhana CA: 160 for 2 wickets, 20 overs (Yasin Saudagar 66*, Tushar Singh 60) beat Titan Cricket Club: 99 for 6 wickets, 20 overs (Soham Dalvi 42; Hrimaan Karvat 3/7). Result: Mumbai Police Gymkhana CA won by 61 runs.
