Greater Mumbai Police and Bombay Gymkhana Colts were engaged in grim, determined battle for supremacy before the policemen managed to produce a late strike which helped them to snatch a tight 1-0 win from their First Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2016-2017, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Tuesday.
With both teams evenly matched the contested witnessed plenty of exciting moments at either end, but the opening session finished in a goalless draw.
But, after the teams switched sides, the policemen managed to find the crucial winning goal when Rajaram Wagh hit the target in the 74th minute to secure the win and the full three points.
