Veteran international level badminton player Milind Purnapatre, who is still active with the game was felicitated yesterday evening, by Mumbai Suburban District Badminton Association( MSDBA), at the hands of seven times national women’s champion Ami Ghia Shah, at Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana Club, Mumbai.

The ceremony was held on trhe concluding day of Mumbai Suburban District Badminton championship held at the same venue.Present on the occasion were Mumbai Suburban District badminton Association President Anil Mahesh, Hon.Secretary Vishwajeet Bhatnagar, Treasurer Arwind yenamadi and JVPG Club working President Rajeev Soni.
Milind had represented India last year in Sweden in the Doubles event of World Veterans’ Badminton Championship in 55+ age group. He has also won a Gold in 50+ Men’s Singles Championship of All India Inter Revenue Sports Meet. Prior to this, Milind was conferred with Shivratna and Khel Seva awards.
