Gudhi Padwa is considered to be a good muhurat for buying new things and launching of projects or campaign. MNS Chief Raj Thackeray used this occasion to launch his party’s election campaign for the forthcoming Municipal elections. On this day, he addressed a meeting of his followers at Shivaji Park ground, which was attended by huge supporters.
While addressing the gathering his main attack was on BJP. He openly criticized the policy of BJP forming Government in J.&K, by supporting PDP, which according to him, was not in national interest. He raised several such issues, targeting the prime Minister of India and chief Minister of Maharashtra. As regards, Maharashtra Government’s policy to regularize many illegal constructions of the builders, he questioned, as to why, the cases were not filed against such builders, by the Government for cheating the people?
There were many such allegations made by the leader, against the State Government, which indirectly criticized Shiv Sena. He said, no other party in the state, was coming forward to solve the issues of local people. And, hence he appealed to all, to elect his party in forthcoming elections. He also made it clear, how because of the agitation of MNS, theatres were made available for Marathi Cinema.
