Promising Indian Junior Swastika Ghosh who reached Pre Quarter finals of the Jr. Girls Singles Event of the ITTF World Circuit Hong Kong Junior & Cadet Open Table Tennis Tournament, lost to Wong Chin Yuo of Hong Kong. But, being a great fighter that she is, Swatika assured a medal for India in Girls Doubles event.
Partnering Zhou Jinghy from Singapore, Swastika beat Chinese pair Zhung B and Cheng Y by 3-1. Incidentally, Swastika has been beating Chinese players since Oman Open in February , thus proving that Chinese are beatable. Last week also she reached semi finals at Jordan Open, beating a Chinese player.
And, this time, it happened in doubles against Chinese pair. Indeed, a remarkable achievement by this young girl from Kharghar , Navi Mumbai. Swastika is coached by her father Sandeep Ghosh, a renowned TT Coach from Navi Mumbai.
