Mixed day for Aditi; Ananya delights


 

Bespectacled Aditi Sinha ,seeded third in the youth girls singles   and fourth in the women’s singles from Mumbai suburbs had a mixed day as she made the semi finals in the  youth girls singles  after tantalizing win over Thane’s Shreya  deshpande 4-11, 11-7, 11-7, 5-11, 11-7, 12-10) in the   YMCA-5th Maharashtra State ranking table Tennis tournament, held at Goregaon Sports Club, here today. However, her march in the women’s singles was cut short by her teammate from suburbs Vidhi Shah in a error-prone tie before the former triumphed 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 11-9, 7-11,11-7.

However, Ananya Basak, just out of juniors, who is top seeded in the youth girls   and seventh in the women’s singles was picture of supreme confidence as she defeated her rivals in both the sections in straight game.
