Miners SC worked hard to overcome Mumbai FC Juniors 2-1 in closely contested Third Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Friday. Striker Mukesh Vishwakarma netted both the goals to secure the win for Miners, while Essa Momin got the lone consolation goal for the Mumbai FC Juniors.
In another match, FC Mumbaikar riding on goals from Noah D’Costa and James D’Souza got the better of BPCL Marketing by an identical 2-1 margin. Gopi P was on target for the losers.
