Milan Club and Vibrant FC both tasted success by narrowly winning their respective first round matches of the 4th Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL) – 2019, organized under the auspices of MDFA by the Borivali Sports Foundation and played at the St. Francis D’Assisi High School ground, Borivali (West).
In a Group-A encounter, Vibrant FC prevailed over Maryland FC by a 1-0 margin with striker Kunal Mane scoring the decisive winner late in the second half to help his team snatch a win and collect the full three points.
Milan Club also found the going tough against Challengers FC but managed to score in the first half through their energetic striker Sunny Thakur in the 15th minute. Thereafter, Challengers FC put up a determined fight and put pressure on the rival citadel, but Milan Club defended resolutely and managed to hold on to their lead to emerge victors and walk away with the three points.
In the third match of the day, Friends United and Kajupada FC shared the spoils as they were involved in a 1-1 draw in Group-A match.
Kajupada FC took the lead through Daiwik Rao’s strike in the 18th minute before Friends United got the eequaliser through Akash Yadav’s goal in the 44th minute to share two points.

Kajupada FC 1 (Daiwik Rao 18) drew with Friends United 1 (Akash Yadav 44).
Group-B: Milan Club 1 (Sunny Thakur) beat Challengers FC 0.
