MCC U-16/19 boys to tour England


 

Following Indian cricket team, who are already in England for their  one-dayers and Test matches, the MCC (Mumbai Cricket Club) comprising under-16 and under-19 boys have embarked on a tour to UK where they will be playing  nine matches  with some of the top clubs /colleges teams, including champion college Eton  during their 15-day tour. On the opening day they    had indoor practice   at historic Lords cricket ground. The tour is being  organised with the support of ex- Surrey cricketer Martin Couch and Ashwani Arora, who has been playing in local clubs there for the last 25 years. Interestingly Couch, now 75, is still  an active player of his club.

The MCC Under-16 team is captained by Pratik Mhatre and  coached by ex-Mumbai Ranji player Vinayak Samant and Jwala Singh, the Director of MCC.

 

The team is:Pratik Mhatre (Captain),  Aman Parikh, Sagar Parikh, Prajwal Rai, Araham Jain, Nishant Trivadi,  Yash Manwani, Amit Lakhyani,  Harsh Bhandari, Pranav Ramchandani, Maanit Rastogi,  Parth Samant, Diyan Kubadia and Rujuta Pathak .
