Deadly bowling by medium pacer Jitendra Paliwal (4/21) and Dhiraj Solanki (3/46), helped MCC (Red) defeat Bhosale Cricket Academy by three wickets to enter the final of the B4S (Brain-4-Sports)- MCC Pro-40 Five-team double leg League-cum-knock-out , played at Oval Maidan here today. They take on MCC (Blue), who thrashed Jwala Sports Foundation XI by 89 runs, in the final to be played latter next week.
Bhosale CA, the table topper in the league phase, batting first hit up formidable 198 with Virj Jadhav (56) and Siddharth Mhatyre (36) being the principal scorers. Chasing 199 to win, the MCC (Red) put up spirited displayed and were home with three wickets to spare. Hiral Panchal was their top-score with 56.
Opener Sachin Upadhyay blasted an unbeaten century earlier for Sports Foundation XI, showed his allround prowess by capturing three wickets. But then JSF batsmen floundered badly with the man-of-the-match AltamasKhan (5/16) and Sujit Kanojia (5/21) sharing the spoils.
