Former champions MCC (Red) opened their campaign in quite a peculiar fashion as they won over MCC (Blue) with the help of 50 penalty runsas their opponents wasted lot of time while fielding inthe JSF-MCC Pro-40 League played at Oval Maidan here yesterday.
Batting first, the “Red” hit up 274 for six off 40 overs. In reply the “Blues” inspite of Nisarg Chaudhary 81 with 11 fours, were restricted to 215 for six. . However, their good work went in vain as they were conceded 50 penalty runs for waisting lost of time while fielding.
In another match, MCC (Green) scored a thumping 193 runs win over MCC (Yellow). Batting first, the “Greens” hit up 274 for six with Suhail Ansari (76), Ankush Paswan63, and Amit Chauhan 50 being the major contributors. In reply, ‘Yellows” were shot out for 81 with Raj Agrahari (5/83) and Rajiv Bhardwaz (3/16),) sharing the bowling honours.
