Mazhar Ali’s brilliant two goals, one in each half, inspired Rizvi Ceramics to a fluent 2-0 win over FC Mumbaikar and a place in the Third Division final of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
In the other semi-final, Gogrej & Boyce SC got the better of Skorost FC 5-4 via the penalty shootout tie-breaker after the team failed to open the scoring during normal play. In the penalty shootout duel, Omkar Sawant, James Passanha, Vishrud Solanki, Sunil Ghogle and Raymond Kasad were bang on target for Godrej, while Skorost could only convert through Macdon Pillay, Snehashish Maharana, Sunil Bhandi and Rohit Sawant.
The final is scheduled to be played on Friday at 4.30 pm.

A Special AGM of the Bombay Referee’s Association will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 5.00 pm at the Cooperage ground. The Special AGM has been conveyed to update the Constitution of BRA. All members are requested to attend the meeting.
