Mumbai: Lepa Academy produced a spirited, determined performance and managed to eke out a narrow 1-0 win against Challengers FC in a well-contested second round league match of the inaugural Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL), organized by the Borivali Sports Foundation, and played at the St. Francis D’Assissi Ground, Borivali (W).
In an absorbing contest between two evenly matched outfits striker Mayur Shirke did well to find the target in the 46th minute and help Lepa Academy secure a win and pocket the full three points.
In another league match, Castle Boys SC work hard to also register a 1-0 victory against Shelar FC. Castle Boys snatched the advantage with striker Ramesh Singh hitting the target in the 22nd minute to give his team a 1-0 half time lead. In the second half, Castle Boys defended stoutly to deny their opponents from finding the equalizer.
