Maurya Youngsters Football Academy put up a determined approach and snatched a narrow 1-0 win against Joshua Generation in a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on Wednesday evening. In a close and evenly fought match, Keegan Fernandes did the star turn for Maurya Youngsters by scoring the all-important winner in the 66th minute to secure the win for his team.
In a Third Division match, IIT Mumbai, Powai got the better of Tarun Mitra Mandal by an identical 1-0 margin. Divine Pullokaran netted the crucial winner for IIT Mumbai.
