Maryland FC an Fleetfooters SC scored hard fought wins in their respective Group-A matches of the 4th Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL) – 2019, organized under the auspices of MDFA by the Borivali Sports Foundation and played at the St. Francis D’Assisi High School ground, Borivali (West).

In a well contested encounter Maryland scored through Colin Abranches and Yelstin D’Souza to overcome Friend United by a fighting 2-1 margin. Rohan Salian netted the lone goal for the losing side.
Defending champions Fleetfooters maintained their winning run of form as they managed to put it across Vibrant FC by a close 2-1 scoreline. Dhaval Waghela and A. Picadro were on target with a goal each for the champs, while Vibrant FC pulled one back through Suraj Thummar.
Meanwhile, in a Group-B match, prolific goal-scorer Sunny Thakur struck the equalizer as Milan Club rallied to hold Tiger Sports Foundation 1-1. Aditya Dalvi had given Tiger Sports a first half lead.
Results – Group-A: Fleetfooters SC 2 (2 (Dhaval Waghela, A. Picadro) beat Vibrant FC 1 (Suraj Thummar).
Maryland FC 2 (Colin Abranches, Yelstin D’Souza) beat Friend United 1 (Rohan Salian).
Group-B: Milan Club 1 (Sunny Thakur) drew with Tiger Sports Foundation 1 (Aditya Dalvi).
