Pooja Sahasrabudhe (Koparkar) of Pune , Maharashtra has won the Women’s Singles title at the Central Zone National Ranking tournament at Indore today. This was the 2nd tournament of this season and this is Pooja’ s first title of the season.

In the Women’s Singles final Pooja beat the upcoming young paddler Archana Kamath by 4 games to 1. The detail scores were – 8-11, 11-8, 11-8, 12-10, 11-8. Earlier in the semi final Pooja beat another youngster Diya Chitale and before that in the quarter final she overcame the challenge from Ahyika Mukherjee in this India ranking tournament.
Incidentally, Pooja is a member of the Indian team which is leaving tonight to participate in two World Platinum Pro Tours – The Korean Open and the Australian Open.
