The first day of the 31st Sub Junior National Kho Kho Championship being played in at Una, Himachal Pradesh, proved to be good for team Maharashtra.

In the morning session Maharashtra slammed Goa with a 25 points win (31-06). Maharashtra’s Raj Jadhav defended for 3:40 min and acquired 1 wicket while chasing, While Atharva Patil played not out 2:00 min in the first turn. Maharashtra’s Coach Prafull Haatvate made sure that the players’ do not over stress themselves and accordingly instructed the players to retire after their stipulated times.
In the 2nd turn Ishant Wagh defended for 3.30 min and chased 4 wickets, Mohan Chavan defended for 1.50 min and chased 3 wickets while Jishan Mulani & Captain Sotya Walvi scored 5 wickets each while chasing.
