Maharashtra (WIFA) scored two late goals, one in each half and went on to overcome Chandigarh FA 2-0 for their second successive win in the Group-F league of the Hero AIFF Junior (Under-17) Women’s National Football Championship-2022, played at the LNIPE-Sonapur ground, Guwahati, Assam on Wednesday evening.
Striker Pooja Gupta netted Maharashtra’s first goal in the 44th minute and Purva Gaikwad converted a penalty to double the lead in the 89th minute and seal the win and full three points.
