Maharashtra Women beat Madhya Bharat with a scoreline of 12 – 05 with an innings to spare. Rupali Bade (4.00 mins defence), Reshma Rathod (3.40 mins defence & 1 point), Apeksha Sutar (1.20 mins not out defence & 4 points). In the second innings Captain Priyanka Ingale played (2.50 mins & 2 points). Ritika from Madhya Bharat put up a lonely fight with (1.50 mins defence).

 

Maharashtra Men had an easy win against Haryana with a scoreline of 20 – 09. Pratik Waikar (2.50 mins defence & 1 points), Hrishikesh Murchavade (2.20 mins defence & 1 point) Akshay Bhangare (2.00 mins defence & 2 points), Milind Kurpe (7 points), Aryan Gunakar (2.40 mins defence & 2 points). Amit and Dhruv defended for 1.10 mins respectively to put up some fight from Haryana.

 

Kolhapur Men had beat Pondicherry with a scoreline of 19-09 with an innings to spare. Kolhapur’s Sagar Potdar (2:20, 1:10 min defense), Avadhut Patil (3:10 min defense) and Rohan Shigte (5 wickets) performed brilliantly while none of the losing team performed brilliantly.

 

Railway Men had defeated hosts Madhya Pradesh with a scoreline 18-09 with an innings to spare. Railways’ Mahesh Shinde (3:00 min defense and 1 wicket), Milind Chavrekar (unbeaten 1:50 min defense and 2 wickets), Vijay Hazare (1:50 min defense) won easily.

Men: Delhi beat Bihar 23-9, Madhya Bharat beat Assam 20-08, Orissa beat Jammu and Kashmir 24-02, Tamilnadu beat Tripura 26-7.

 

Women: Vidarbha beat Madhya Bharat 10-07. Bengal beat Jharkhand 18-03, Gujarat beat Himachal Pradesh 10-06, Tamilnadu beat Uttarakhand 14-12 and Airports Authority of India beat Uttar Pradesh 20-04.

 

 

Rains disrupt play on the third day of National Kho Kho Championship

 

Unexpected rains disrupted play for some time in the morning session of the ongoing National Kho Kho Championship at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Kho Kho Federation of India Secretary General Mr. Tyagi assured that the matches will continue on Mat Ground. A dome structure was specially created over the Mat Ground foreseeing the same.
