Mafatlal CC win Samat T20 Cup


The combined all-round performances of batsmen Harshad Khadiwale (81 runs), Miten Shah (53 runs) and disciple bowling by Puneet Tripathi (5 for 13) and Rohit Singh (3 for 26) enabled Mafatlal Cricket Club record a 59-run victory against Mumbai Customs SC in the final of the Samat T20 Cup cricket tournament, played at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium, Thane.

 

Sent in to bat first, Mafatlal batsmen scored runs freely and amassed a challenging score of 185 for 7 wicket in 20 overs. Customs bowlers Aishwarya Surve (4 for 20) and Shivaji Yadav (2 for 41) picked up the wickets.

 

In reply, Mumbai Customs were dismissed for a paltry 126 in 16.5 overs. Prasad Pawar was the only Customs batsman who scored 32 runs.

 

Harshad Khadiwale of Mafatlal, who top-scored with 81 runs was declared ‘Man of the match’.

 

Brief scores (final): Mafatlal Cricket Club 185 for 7 wicket in 20 overs (Harshad Khadiwale 81, Miten Shah 53; Aishwarya Surve 4 for 20, Shivaji Yadav 2 for 41) beat Mumbai Customs Sports Club 126 all out in 16.5 overs (Prasad Pawar 32; Puneet Tripathi 5 for 13, Rohit Singh 3 for 26). Result: Mafatlal Cricket Club won by 59 runs.
