India No. 30 Manav Mehta played brilliantly to beat his opponent Jayabrata Bhattacharjee, who is currently ranked 6th in India. Both the teams had been very consistent with their performances throughout the tournament but in the end it proved to be a one-sided affair as Jamnabai Narsee dominated their opponents to win the final 3-0. Jamnabai never dropped a set coming into the finals. Dev Shroff set the tone for the match by winning the opening game, which eased the pressure on the team and thereafter the duo won both individually and in pairs as to win the Trophy

“We had a very good tournament till the finals that that gave us some confidence going into the finals. I was very nervous playing against Jayabrata who is India no 6. My only focus was to apply the techniques that I had learnt in the practice session and do what I do best and luckily it worked in my favor today. Beating him is a very big achievement for me. It’s a privilege to get a trophy for Maharashtra,“ said Manav Mehta .

The Senior team could not replicate the performance of the Juniors as they lost to Mayur School (RAJ) 0-3-0 in the final.
In the junior boys semi-finals, Jamnabhai outplayed MAPS Ajmer (RAJ) 3-0.
