Bandra Gym football report:
St. Paul’s SC, Dadar scored a narrow 1-0 win against Falcon Brothers, Mazagon in a Men’s Open second round match of the 25th Bandra Gymkhana Open Rink Football Tournament and played under floodlights at the Demonte Park Recreational Ground, Bandra. In a keenly fought match, striker Lance Fernandes struck the crucial winning goal to seal St. Paul’s victory and earn his team a passage to the third round.
Meanwhile in a one-sided encounter, fancied Joga Bonita SC blanked Celtic FC 4-0. Daniel Fernandes , Pratik Kadam, Scott D’Souza and Craig D’Souza scored a goal each to complete Joga Bonita’s fine win.
In a veterans men’s second round match, Bandra Packers showed good form to register a 3-1 win against Golden Boys, Malad. Packers scored their goals through Savio Rodriques, Roy Lewis and Ranzie Kalicharan, while Sachin Rao netted the lone goal for the losers.
