Oscar Foundation produced a strong fighting display to snatch a close 1-0 win against FC Mumbaikar in a Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Sunday. In an evenly contested encounter striker Kumar Rathod scored the lone goal, which ensured victory for the Oscar Foundation outfit.
In another match of the same division, Tarun Sporting overcame Samuel FA by a 4-2 margin. For the victors, Ajinkya Umasare netted a brace of goals and Tabish Mulla and Abdul Dohadwala got one each, while Samuel FA scored through Shivam Gohil and Rohit Hazare.
Results –Div-II: Oscar Foundation 1 (Kumar Rathod) beat FC Mumbaikar 0.

MDFA alters Div-II matches
The MDFA has decided to alter the fixtures of the Second Division League as the committee has with immediate effect cancelled all the third games scheduled for the day at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. The organising committee has stated that due to time constraints the MDFA will conduct only two games everyday till further notice. All participating clubs are requested take note of the change and a revised schedule of matches will be available to the team.
