Krish Waghani caused a major upset when he sent second seeded Arjun Chatterjee packing in the boys singles quarterfinals of the Khar Gymkhana- All India Ranking Championship Series Tennis Tournament-2018 , sponsored by Chenab Impex and hosted by Khar Gymkhana here today. In the best of 17 games, Krish triumphed 9-6.Later, Krish played intelligently to beat sixth seeded lefthander Arjun Shirgaonkar 9-4 tomake thetitle round.
Mahika Gupta, the girls top seed, was rather off-colour against Gauri Mangaonkar ,who beat her comprehensively 9-2. But Gauri‘s joy was short-lived as she was beaten by Ruma Gaikaiwari 9-5 in the semifinals. In the girls other semifinals, Suhani Sabharwal got the better of Alisha Deogaonkar (9-8) in a long drawn tie-breaker.
